Personal Ingredients Entrepreneur Should Have

April  20 2013 l ndbs   By: Ndzavi Derrick Hlungwani

In life everything has a source and components that comprise of that particular thing.  And for one to understand the use and the conditions that particular item should be exposed to one has to have an understanding of what it is made of.  And should another person wants to replicate the item will have to look at the ingredients and come up with the similar product.  The same with entrepreneurs, there are human elements that can be attributed to entrepreneurs for them to be seen as such.  Below are some of the ingredients that make an entrepreneur.

Patience:  If patience is lacking in your life you might as well not attempt or pursue entrepreneurship.  It will take patience for you to wait for products to be delivered while your clients are waiting impatiently.  And once you manage to exercise patience you are able to take control of the situation.

Tolerance:  Have you ever wondered why some entrepreneurs change their Personal Assistants now and then or keep on hiring and firing staff?  That is due to lack of tolerance.  They want things to be done their way or just leave if you can’t.  As entrepreneur you need to understand that you did not employ fellow entrepreneurs to work for you but you have employed individuals who have come to help you expand your dreams and vision.

Love:  Love does not discriminate, often entrepreneurs tend to show their love and favor on other employees and be rude to others.  You need to love everyone, and the fact that you may not agree on certain issues does not mean you have to bear resentment upon that certain individual.

Obedience: This is the tough one for entrepreneur.  Why would I obey orders in my company? Yes you have to.  Imagine walking to your company and your employee screams: “Please do not open that door” and because it is your office you just ignore the scream and when you open you are faced with a huge snake that sneaked in while the door was open earlier and all you do now is to run back to that screaming employee to hide.  Obedience is at times to have ability to follow instruction first then ask or find out the reasons later.

Gentleness:  There is not situation that you cannot handle if you are calm and gentle.  Temperament  causes strife and divisions but if you are gentle you are able to deal with every challenges you face in business as every business has moment of challenges whereby if you are short tempered you can easily give up or scream at your suppliers and customers.

There are more ingredients required but the above are the ones that are more extrovertial  and are the ones required to deal with employees, clients, suppliers and stakeholders on day to day basis.

Dump New Year Resolutions, Stick To Daily Routine

February 13 2013 l ndbs   By: Ndzavi Derrick Hlungwani

We are in that time of the year where diaries and notebooks are prepared to have their first inscription in bold “NEW YEAR RESOLUTION”.  Come year end few or none of these resolutions are accomplished yet there will be no note at the bottom saying “ABORTED RESOLUTIONS” or “CARRY OVER TO NEW YEAR”, instead people take all the pains to sit down and think of what the New Year resolution will be.
